They say a picture tells a thousand words and Lawson Communications is not only a proven story-teller but can also shoot a memorable photograph. Amy is a Full Accredited Member of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP). She is currently sharpening her skills by studying towards her Diploma in Photography. Amy has only entered her photography in two awards and on both occasions she performed well - runner-up in the 2008 and 2009 NSW Mackellar Media Awards. She is currently studying towards a Diploma in Photography.
We pride ourselves on the quality of editorial photographs we offer to accompany public relations and marketing materials, as well as our freelance stories. We have had countless feedback from newspaper and magazine editors stating that our media releases and stories are more likely to get a run because of the top photographs we provide.
The proof’s in the pudding. During 2010, Lawson Communications shot three consecutive cover photos of Cattle Country Magazine, two cover photos for The Furrow magazine - out of a possible three, and she was also responsible for a front cover photo for Dairy News Australia newspaper, and several other regional newspapers. Magazine photography was extended to include Outback Magazine in 2011, as well as numerous newspaper covers on behalf of PR clients. Magazine photography in 2012 has so far included Australian Wool Innovation's Beyond the Bale, The Furrow, and Style.
There is so much satisfaction to be gained from bringing people and their stories to life in pictures. We enjoy this challenge and embrace the opportunity with great dedication. Amy established a new Facebook Group for rural photographers in January, 2012, called Photographing Rural Australia. This group is a dedicated space for rural photographers to share their work, tips, stories, and more generally share their passion for their specialisation.
