Scott and Anna Brien approached us to manage the marketing of their Central West NSW Merino Stud, with this relationship beginning in mid-2010. In the time since, we have developed a full branding suite for the stud, advertising management, media releases, photography, catalogue design, new website (www.bellalanamerinos.com.au), and more. Our continuing relationship has yielded fantastic results - both in creative and more importantly, fantastic ram sale results!

The Charolais Society works hard to deliver quality stories to its members and advertisers in its bi-annual magazine. It's a great read, and Amy has contributed several on-farm stories. We have also disseminated those stories as media releases and have had some great success in the media - including cover story of Cattle Country Magazine. |

Dairy News Australia is a strongly independent publication delivering up-to-date news and information to dairy farmers nationwide, every month. Like its sister publications, Rural News and Dairy News NZ, it brings the same uncompromising commitment to quality journalism for farmers. Amy has on occasion written stories for Dairy News Australia, and photographed the cover shot for the July, 2010, edition, to accompany her story about an award-winning Central West NSW dairy. |

Founded in 1882, Haddon Rig Merino Stud is one of the most recognised Merino studs in Australia. The Falkiner family at Warren, Central West NSW, sell more than 1000 stud rams each year from their 60,000-acre (24,280 ha) mixed farming aggregation. Lawson Communications began working with Haddon Rig ahead of their October, 2011, ram sale, with the design and management of their print advertising campaign. We are now in the midst of developing a new website for the stud and planning their 2012 marketing campaign. |
| With increasing feed costs, producing more milk and beef from the same or less feed has never been so important. While monitoring 1,966 farmers across the world, over a one year period, a 10% improvement in Feed Conversion Efficiency was tracked by those using a Keenan feed mixer system. Lawson Communications is now dedicated to promoting the Keenan message and its success stories in Australia. | |

One of our big successes for 2010 was to manage all marketing and public relations activities for the establishment of new Merino sheep stud, Kerin Poll. This included website design and development, all branding, media releases, unique and catchy advertising, photography, catalogue design, newsletters, e-newsletters, video production, and much more. Kerin Poll now has embraced social media, with more than 150 people following the stud's Facebook fan page, and Kerin Poll was the first Australian Merino stud to establish its own YouTube Channel. In 2010, the stud achieved a massive sale result with 140 rams selling to a top of $10,000 and average of $1931. Just as importantly, this first year success was backed up in 2011. Well done Nigel and Kate Kerin! Download the stud's 12-page 2011 newsletter (in low res):

Lawson Communications began managing KLR Marketing's public relations activities in November, 2009. The level of success from our activities has been staggering. As just one example, KLR Marketing's two-day livestock marketing school at Armidale would usually attract 20 to 30 participants. With our media relations and marketing efforts, 85 people attended this school, together with widespread media coverage in print, radio and on television news. We managed all of KLR Marketing's PR and marketing activities, including advertising design, newsletter design, copywriting, all media relations, and more.

proAGtive is Australia's leading provider of rural succession planning services. Nothing is more important to the growth and viability of family farming than a successful transition from one generation to another. Unfortunately 8 out of 10 farming families get this all-important process wrong. Lawson Communications began working with proAGtive's Isobel Knight and Tim Lane in early-2011. We have established a presence in the world of social media with a Twitter handle (@proAGtive) and Facebook fan page. Below is some media coverage achieved while promoting northern NSW workshops in 2011 - including a front page story! |

Well, there's not much of a link between Rourke and Henry and agriculture but we had a ball taking on this job in September, 2010. We worked in collaboration with our preferred web developer, Bos Web Systems at Dubbo, to design and develop the new Rourke and Henry online shop. The website was voted as one of three 'top picks' for the month by the team at Adobe Business Catalyst - a great achievement considering how many new sites they view every month! We also produced a short video to enhance the website further. www.rourkeandhenry.com.au |

Lawson Communications managed all aspects of designing and managing the inaugural Why Merino? Conference at Dubbo in August, 2010. The conference featured speakers from five states and a wool marketing specialist from the United States, and conference delegates travelled from five states to attend. In a post-conference survey of delegates, 20% said it was the best conference they had ever attended, and a further 57% said it was 'excellent'. Not a bad result! The event was covered by ABCTV's Landline (watch segment here), WIN Television local news, ABC Rural Radio (NSW Western Plains and NSW Country Hour), Australian Farm Journal, The Land, Western Magazine, and Dubbo Daily Liberal. We are in the process of planning the second Why Merino? Conference, to make it even bigger and better! A conference website has been constructed as the "go-to" destination for all things Why Merino? Why Merino? also has an active Social Media presence. Find Why Merino? on Twitter (@WhyMerino) and 'Like' the Why Merino? Facebook fan page. |
